I don't know about you, but we give our thanks to God. For all He provides, and all that He withholds, for all that He protects us from and all that He doesn't, for all the prayers that He answers, and for the many that He chooses to say no or wait to. We give thanks to God for the gifts He gives us, for the food that we have, for the family that we get to spend the day with. We give thanks to God for the suffering He has allowed in our lives, and for the loved ones who's empty place at the table is painfully obvious. We give thanks to God for the little that we have, and for the great blessings He has bestowed on our lives. We give our thanks to God, for loving us so much that He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross and make a way for us to obtain a salvation we could never earn. We give thanks to God for the freedom to come boldly to His throne to lay our gratitude at His feet.
In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
